In the September 2026 issue of Paintings by Miriam, I share the 9 paintings I created over the summer. You'll learn the story and inspiration behind each painting, including my first plein air palette knife painting.

You'll also get a closer look at the evolution of the painting process of three of my paintings, You'll see how the paintings evolved, and how an intended painting became that which I didn't expect.

And who knew that one of my unintended paintings would be one of 96 artworks accepted, from a pool of 229 submissions, into a juried art exhibition. I'm honored to be included with so many inspiring and amazing artists.

And the holidays are coming! Original, one-of-a-kind art makes a lasting gift for friends and family, and yourself. Which painting do you connect with? Which of these paintings would make a great gift? Feel free to contact me about the price and a payment plan. All of my paintings come with a certificate of authenticity.
