Congaree 

In 2019 we combined hiking in Congaree national park in South Carolina, and in Mammoth Cave national park in Kentucky with my running the A Race for the Ages (ARFTA) multi-day ultra in Tennessee Labor Day weekend. We spent two days in a quiet park enjoying leisurely hikes and learning the history of the park. I completed my junior ranger book, got sworn in, and received my Congaree national park junior ranger patch and badge.
