Dawn to Dusk to Dawn 24Hr Track Ultra

May 7-8, 2022  Sharon Hill, PA

I ran my first Dawn to Dusk to Dawn (D3) 24-hour track ultra in 2019. D3 also offers a 50K event and a 12-hour event. The pandemic cancelled D3 in 2020 but I ran an alternative virtually. I ran to raise donations for Ultra Care for Cancer Caregivers. Here's a short video. The pandemic cancelled it again in 2021 but I ran its alternative virtual event. Here's my race report. Finally, we were back on track for D3's 25th anniversary. I interviewed co-race director Bill Schultz for my blog. Nonstop rain and gale force winds pounced our return in 2022. I managed to place third female after tying the number of laps with a fellow runner but running those laps a little bit faster. Here's my RACE REPORT.

Here's a video my husband Jon and I filmed.

I am also the author of Come What May, I Want to Run: A Memoir of the Saving Grace of Ultrarunning in Overwhelming Times. Read excerpts, praise, and reviews, and order the book here from from the publisher, Amazon, Bookshop, or Barnes & Noble. Dawn to Dusk to Dawn 24-hr track  journey is one of many ultramarathon experiences that weaves through my memoir.
